Dr. Joe Shirley, Jr.

Joe Shirley Jr., was born in Chinle, Arizona. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business, and a Master of Social Work Degree from Arizona State University. He currently serves as the sixth President of the Navajo Nation. He has already gained national attention by being appointed by Native American leaders to co-chair both the BIA/Tribal Budget Advisory Council and the Sovereignty Protection Initiative. President Shirley has a true commitment to serve the Navajo Nation and its’ people by giving power back to them.
